Step 3 of 3.
Arrange the base frame 2 x 4′s as follows (the feet can be attached last). Secure all joints with 2 or 3 of the 3 inch screws. Pre-drill holes through the first board for each joint.


Secure the 2 baseboard pieces through the top side with the 1 1/2 inch long screws. Pre-drill holes in the birch plywood to prevent splitting. The screw heads need to be slightly recessed into the birch plywood.


Secure the headboard to the base frame front feet as shown using the 2 – 13 ” pieces of 2 x 4′s. This makes for a very solid headboard.
